Even before the big “gravel” wave from the USA spilled over into Europe, I had the idea of getting myself a really cool bike for all kinds of purposes. At that time, there weren’t many offers online, and I didn’t even really know what I was looking at. In Hamburg there was nothing, so I ended up finding what I wanted at the “Goldsprint” shop in Berlin. A quick phone call later, I was told I could test-ride the Genesis the next day at “The Gentle Jaunt. Just two hours later I was already on the train back to Hamburg with the Vagabond, and since then I’ve done many wonderful tours with the bike…”

 

In the meantime, the Vagabond has been replaced by the Fargo for me, but my sister still rides the Vagabond to this day.
